Are Ajaokuta, Lokoja and Kotonkarfe Part of Ane Igala?

In a landmark ruling the ripples which have continued to reverberate across the land, a Federal High Court in Lokoja on 2 June 2020 ruled that the Ata-Igala was entitled to general damages of N10bn for the Federal Government’s continued and unabated use of Ajaokuta,

Lokoja and Kotonkarfe. The Ata-Igala had ownership and overlordship prior to independence and the coming into force of the Land Use Act 1978. Reactions have been mixed.
